Kiwi Lydia Ko has completed her first round in a LPGA major as a professional, finishing with a one-over 73 this morning (NZ time) at the Kraft Nabisco Championship in Rancho Mirage, California.
After scoring even-par on her first nine holes, the Mission Hills Country Club's back nine, Ko shot one-over on the way back to the clubhouse to complete her round.
Her best hole was a stunning birdie on the tricky 18th, but she let herself down with a bogey on the 16th, and a double bogey on the 1st.
She clawed her way back with a birdie on the 7th, before parring the final two holes to close out.
Ko sat in a tie for 21st, with China's Shanshan Feng leading on five-under through 12 holes.
Ko has looked strong from the tee and was characteristically strong on the greens - but it is her chipping game that has been the most impressive today.
